That's right don't be ripped off. You need to really think about this for a minute. There's a lot of
air conditioning and home warranty companies out there that are really unscrupulous. They
advertised in the newspaper, over the radio, and even on TV. Saying such things as and I quote
"They only do the job to keep their men working, and there is no profit in the job". When will the
general public wake up to "THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH"! No one is going to give you $3,00.00 to
$10,000.00 worth of air conditioning and not make a profit on it. We at Durbin A/C and
Mechanical care about our customers, because without our customers we would have to close
the doors. So I'm going to give you some places that you can check out air conditioning
companies, as a matter of fact any kind of company before you do business with them.

The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations Air conditioning Division.
The Dallas Better Business Bureau.

If the company you want to do business with is not listed with complaints at three places you
probably have selected a credible air conditioning or contracting company. Not dealing with a
complaint at the Texas Department of licensing will cost you a really stiff fine, continued
complaints will cost you your license. Not Dealing with complaints at the Better Business Bureau

of the complaints may change your mind about some of the companies that you might think are
excellent companies in Dallas. You might even be surprised at some of the companies that are
listed there.

Sometimes you can't please everyone even though we business owners try to do that.
Complaints still come from certain types of people. My Dad used to tell me "Grandpa would
complain even if you had hung him with a new rope." (I think I would even complain about that
one.) Having a complaint from a customer is something the business owner has no control over
even if we try real hard. Not doing anything about that complaint is something the business
owner should be judged for, by the general public.

So in short, take the time to investigate a company before you do business with them.
